Props - Parasol(reserach)

The second prop I chose to focus on was a parasol that I want Mildred to be carrying while she is on the upper deck. She will leave the parasol with her aunt when she goes to the boiler room, and when she is carried back above deck, her aunt will carry it off, over Mildred as Mildred is taken off stage.
Four of the pictures are of the typical lacy parasol, which is the type of parasol I have chosen to use. One is a diagram explaining how to make a minature folded up parasol, which I attempted to make, and failed, and are still determined to make. One is a picture of an asian wood and paper parasol, the other is of a sealife creature that looks like a parasol. When I saved these pictures, I hadn't decided if Mildred was going to take the parasol to the boiler room with her, so when designing the parasol, I wanted to leave room for designing the parasol in a way that would represent her covering from the sun, but would also not cover her face when she was down in the boiler room. The idea did not pan out as planned, and I instead decided to have her leave the parasol on the deck.
